Spring Cleaning

We're running out of storage! To make room on harddrives for new sessions, we are planning to delete sessions from 2008 & 2009. Before we do that, we want to offer you the opportunity to purchase your files. You can buy all of your images from 2008 & 2009 on a CD for $50* (that's over $100 savings)! If you had multiple sessions during that time, you get them all on one CD!! We will be deleting them permanently on May 1st; they will no longer be viewable on the website or available for purchasing prints. Please respond to misti@focusphotographyteam.com to purchase your images. If we don't hear from you by May 1st, we'll know that you already have all the prints you want from those sessions :-)

Spring Portraits

Last weekend began our Spring Portraits!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous (unlike today's weather). We had the privilege of taking family portraits as well as children with fuzzy, cuddly bunnies.

Our first sessions were with our own children who were soooooo excited about the bunnies!! Below is a picture of my (Becky) 9 year old and my 5 year old (actually getting along -- it's amazing the effect of sweet little animals)!!!

Misti's sweet girls are now 11 years old and almost 6 years -- looking so sweet in our vintage chair from The Social Event (a vintage rental located in Ruston).

LaRoya

Meet LaRoya -- she is my (Becky) Physical Therapy student @ Melanie Massey PT.  She has been in our area for almost 10 weeks.  This is actually her last week at our clinic (sniff) and she will be moving on to her next rotation in Conway, AR next week.  During her rotation at our clinic she told me that she has never had professional pictures done...so of course...a photo shoot just HAD to be done!!

I absolutely LOVE LaRoya's smile...it is immediately contagious!  She is beautiful inside and out -- she is an encouragement to everyone around her. 

What was really neat about this shoot is that we drove up to one of FOCUS' favorite spots and it is now being renovated (another sniff).  HOWEVER, we were able to actually go inside the building and the light was amazing!!

We had a blast walking around this old building -- it will be neat to see it as it comes together as a restaurant!

Check out those heels she's sporting -- girl, I would be breaking something in those!   And check out her sorority sign with their colors:

LaRoya / Quantasia -- it has been a PLEASURE getting to know you.  I truly hope that God brings you full circle after all of your rotations and you find yourself here...but if that is not in HIS will -- you are going to be a blessing wherever you land!!

Jake's Senior Shoot

This was such a unique photo shoot.  It began because I know the grandmother.  She is such a precious lady!  She has told me over the course of my knowing her how incredible her son and daughter-in-law are as well as this very special grandson.  It was such a privilage to meet this family and be able to take this particular grandson's pictures!  Jake:  You are a great young man -- God will do great things in your life if you continue to allow Him to work through you!

This shoot was done last Friday when there was a 30-40% chance of rain.  I had a meeting after work that I quickly moved in order to TRY to beat the rain.  We walked around their beautiful property and began taking pictures. 

They had a couple of ponds, an old barn and a VERY cool '69 Firebird that belonged to his grandmother!

Then we took a few with his car and proceeded to his school to take his soccer pictures -- he plays for his local high school as well as NELSA.  He told me that he was interested in engineering as was going to school with a scholarship not from soccer but by his brains (my words, not his) -- smart kid!

Just from watching Jake -- I personally think he could've gone to college with a scholarship from both, but surprisingly there are only three schools in our state that offer soccer scholarships!  Interesting tidbits that you learn during a soccer shoot!

BTW:  Jake's shoot was concluded right on time and THAT was when the rain began -- we beat the rain (thanks to the prayers of a grandmother!)

Pasadena, CA

Half of the FOCUS team has been in the L.A. and surrounding areas. It is truly a beautiful area. Aside from all the hussle and bussle that comes with being in a large city...the surrounding area is just beautiful! Driving along the coast in a convertible -- you could not miss the beauty of the beaches, rocks and mountains off to east. I think it would be amazing to live here; however, I don't think Misti's nor my husband would go for that...they are more LA guys than L.A. guys!!

FOCUS was able to take some pictures for Becky's long-time friend that lives in Pasadena who also works for Fuller Theological Seminary. She is an event planner individually as well as plans event for Fuller. She asked if i would take some pictures while I was there for various brochures for the seminary as well as for her business -- Celebrations Divine (www.celebrationsdivine.com). The Pasadena courthouse has been filmed for various sitcoms and movies.

The Seminary was an oasis of peace in the midst of the city traffic. Their prayer garden was serene and calming!

Spring Time

This is the time of year that we just LOVE!!  It is coming up on Spring time / spring pictures and most importantly EASTER!!  I love all the flowers in bloom, the fresh green grass -- there are so many beautiful and wonderful things that have been renewed.

Senior shoot with Jennie

One of our senior shoots was with Jennie -- a senior at West Monroe High School!  She was such a great sport in 24 degree weather (with the wind chill)...BRRRRRR!!  The very last portion of our photo shoot was for her to dress in her track and field uniform...again...what a sport she was!  24 degree weather and a short sleeved shirt!

The Albritton Family

Hi!!  We at FOCUS Photography are very new to the blogging world!  We are going to give this a shot!  We have been busy (in between all the rain) doing family shoots, senior shoots and even an 80th birthday party w/ lots and lots of family shots!!  We had the privilege of capturing the Albritton family w/ their newest editions from the Ukrane!! 

They were such a fun family -- we had a blast getting pictures of all of THEIR craziness!!
